Windows 7 upgrade: Can install the upgrade on a different HDD than previous licensed verison?

About to upgrade an older pc. The computer has Windows XP 32-bit on its single HDD. My question is when i buy the upgrade for Windows 7, may i save the software onto a different new HDD? The current HDD is beginning to fail and needs to be replaced.|||no you won't be able to upgrade to a different HDD. a way around the 'upgrade license' is to install windows 7 to the new hard drive as a clean install, then upgrade to windows 7 from windows 7 with the same installation disc - this is still classed as an upgrade so you will then be able to activate windows. you will be able to use the same product key for the clean install and the upgrade. you need to make sure you back up all your documents from the failing hard drive as well, and restore the to the new hard drive|||no you do a clean install to the new hard drive with the upgrade disc, then once the installation is complete before you try to activate it run an upgrade with the same disc. once that install is complete you will then be able to activate it

I never played any Final fantasy games, can I start with the newest verison?

In my personal opinion, Final Fantasies V, VII, X, and XII are the best.|||as everyone has said, each final fantasy with a number has its own story, characters, slightly different gameplay and so on. only a few of them actually have sequels, like number 10 has a sequel, number 7 has a sequel movie, a prequel game,a spinoff game and an anime series (because its the most popular one, annoying really).





you can play final fantasy 13 and be completely fine.





if you enjoy 13, i would also suggest Final Fantasy 7, 8, 6(known in the US as 3), and 10.|||Yes you can start at any point in the Final Fantasy universe. I've played every single one since FF1 and only 2 have a considering story and that is 10 and 10-2 for PS2. There are characters and jokes that span the whole series but it's a small part of the game.|||Final fantasy series are not a continuous series of one story... Each game is their own story. So if you started at 13, no big deal.





But just a word of caution. 13 is pretty complex game. There is a lot to take in.


Out of all the ones that are available in the store, to start out, i would probably suggest buying final fantasy 9...





once you are done with that, i would go to 7, then maybe 8. and then eventually to 13...





7 by far was the best game in the series. followed closely by 10.





So take your pick. They are all are amazing games in their own rights.|||The Final Fantasy games all have different stories, so it wouldn't matter which order you went in. However, don't be discouraged if 13 lets you down. There are some classic Final Fantasies, like 10 and 7. I recommend you play those before 13, just in case you lose hope in Final Fantasy altogether xD|||Final Fantasy 14 releases on Sept 30 for the PC, so you could try that out. If you want for the PS3 then any of the latest available versions are great starting points.|||you'll be fine. each FF has their own unique story, world, characters and all that. i am a verison member and i was just wondering what is the difference between those 2 phones|||They are both great touch screen phones, but one big difference is that the iPhone offers a 3g service which can give you a faster internet connection and an internet anywhere, whereas the Dare can only get the internet through a wifi connection. Also another huge difference is that it the iPhone has an iPod included with it which is awesome.





If you were to pick either phones, you should pick the iPhone. But if you think switching plans from verizon to at%26amp;t is to much trouble, you should go with the dare. Anyway, it's your decision.

Also, there is the matter of the additional content. Here the HCSB Second Edition stands out for Protestants in my opinion, but the NIV and the ESV are also very good, and the NIV comes in a really excellent educational study edition. For Roman Catholics, I would recommend the New American Bible, which has notes that make it a decent educational study bible whether you want them or not.








** level 3 **





Here the New Jerusalem Bible stands out - for both Roman Catholics and Protestants. In my opinion, this is the most accurate bible translation available today. However, it does *not* come in an educational study bible edition.








Now - if I were you I would pick one bible from each level and compare them to see which you find comfortable to read. You can see them all online. If the NJB is not a problem for you, choose it. If it is too difficult, choose a level 2 bible. If those are too difficult, choose a level 1.

|||Well, the short answer is that you don't need Photoshop. The GIMP works okay most of the time, but I find it rather hard to figure out if you're not used to it. The good part is that it's free.





I personally prefer Photoshop Elements. It doesn't give you the full package, but it has most functions and is easier to use than the GIMP (in my opinion, anyway). It costs about $250, if I remember correctly.|||Unless you're a pro, you don't NEED Photoshop. There are a couple good alternatives out there, free even. Check out The GIMP. I have tried the USB cable connection to my port on my computer and Windows starts to install the cell Phone but fails because the drivers are missing. Can I offload these pictures to my computer without sending it to a Verison Site ? How ?|||Different phone, different phone company. But, I can make my phone appear as a thumb drive to my computer. See if there is a menu entry under tools or settings that allow you to place the phone into thumbdrive or flash drive mode. Then plug it into the computer. The phone should then show up as a removable media drive. Browse through it and you should find your pictures.

Last month my best friend told me that Verison's going to be compatible with phones of different companies. She told me they said that themselves so I was wondering does anybody know anything about that and when their supposed to be actually doing this?|||They are supposed to open up their network to other phones sometime this year, BUT it is only for other CDMA phones since their network is CDMA.

I'm sure there will be bugs in the system but when it gets worked out, it will open the door for technology and cell phones, I assure you.|||Verizon is supposed to be opening their networks to phones that have been built and then tested by Verizon to work on the Verizon network. They will not work with GSM phones BUT if you knew how to make a CDMA cell phone in your garage and got it tested by Verizon they would allow you to use it on their network.
