How do I play against my brother in Age of Empires 2 demo verison?

The demo verison lets you play online, but I don't know how to do it. I don't really need to play online, b/c he is across the room.|||i'm not sure if it works on demo version.it works on the Cd though,you just have to let it through your firewall
