Does it cost extra to upgrade your phone in the middle of a contract with verison?

I'm getting the voyager and I want to know if this upgrAde is gonna cost extra, and if so, how much?|||I switched my first phone way before my contract date. I handled it in person at the store and I only had the pay the difference of the new phone and the old phone, plus the $30 connection fee.
