How do I sync my verison email with my phone?

I check my email on my phone then go to an actual computer and it says they haven't been read and so on. How do I sync them together? Thanks!|||this means your email service is not supported by your phone's email application.





for example, i have an iphone, and when i edit or read my gmail account emails, my phone's mail app deletes or marks as read. But my hotmail account is not natively supported by my phone's mail app, so the messages are uneffected in my actual account, but appear to be in my phone's client.
