If i buy a samsung exclaim cell phone off of ebay can i put it on my Verison account.?

My samsung rouge (verison) got stolen. I changed my number over to an old verison cell phone i had. Can I do the same thing with a cell phone I buy off of ebay (samsung exclaim that was meant for sprint) and it work properly?|||No. Verizon will only activate Verizon-branded phones.
