How to tell if I am running a 32-bit (x86-based) or a 64-bit (x64-based) verison of windows?

What do I look under to find out?





I need to download a definitions file, and there are those two versions.|||Read your Windows disk label or your PC User Manual.





Or, run the Belarc Advisor.|||Right click on your "My Computer" icon and select properties. Compare the window you see to this one here (http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/4064/鈥?/a> If you are running a 64-bit version of Windows you will see x64 Edition in the "System" section.|||the default desktop and screensaver says Windows 64bit a bit easier.





if you dont know, likeliness is its 32bit.|||At your control panel, go to system.


and you can read up your system specification there.
